Our story

In 1991 Mihai Florescu, a Romanian entrepreneur opened Leonard Caffe in the heart of Bucharest, which is the home of Dracula’s museum. Mihai Florescu was the first Romanian coffee producer who sparked America’s interest with his famous Vampire’s coffee, an exotic blend, with a certain peculiarity and enigma just like Vlad Dracula.

Leonard Caffe soon began to make a name for itself through tradition, passion and quality. It was a novelty, not only for Romania but also a rarity in Europe, especially because no less than 25 types of coffee could be tasted, and customers could also purchase coffee for domestic use.

Our coffee beans are all organic and come from farms all over the world such as Brazil, Santos, Colombia, Kenya, India, Venezuela, Ethiopia, Jamaica and many more, just to get the right blend of flavour for our customers.
